The past few weeks have been busy, to say the least. With very late night editing sessions, engagement sessions, a wedding and a baby delivery. I have LOVED it! On Monday Pippa turned one week old!
Already?!?! Yep, her momma and I can barely believe it, but it's true!
Julie came over on Monday for a newborn shoot with Miss Pippa and this was exciting for a few reasons...
1. I got to try out some of these props that I have had stored away forever, but have rarely used.
2. I got to see Miss Pippa and Julie!
3. I shot my very first baby session in my house!!!
Yes, yes, I know! It isn't a studio, which maybe someday I will have,... but the rooms in my house have GREAT natural light. And that my fellow readers, is huge! I have shot lots of babies in their homes, but it's rare that a home has such perfect natural light, and to be honest, I hate having to pull out the flash for a baby session. So, how did it turn out?
Let's just say that I was more then happy with the results and used available light! So long flash!!
Julie is a former photographer herself, and so she had clued me into a blog that she visits by Meg Fish, and she was hoping to have something that was inspired by this site, so we went at it. I think we had a good balance of inspiration, mixed with our own creative edge....

Trust me, this is one session you'll want to see from start to finish!!!
And in honor of Miss Pippa, you'll want to come back a little later tonight, when the details of our Maternity/Baby Sale are posted. I'm a wedding photographer at heart, but with so many of my previous clients expecting, I thought I would use Pippa as a great excuse for a sale! Stay tuned!
